"""MX Vice has learnt from multiple sources that Todd Waters, Max Nagl, Glenn Coldenhoff and Mike Kras were all injured whilst practicing today. Although unconfirmed, it sounds like Waters may have broken his femur, Nagl may have sustained a broken wrist and Glenn Coldenhoff injured his knee. However, these are just rumours at this stage."
Y a matiere a exrapoler sur ce coup la, ll’elite frenchie est fini, quelques fines gachettes sont a meme de jouer les interimaires.
Ca à l’air sérieux pour Kras, vertèbres touchées et pneumothorax….
Following on from the news we reported earlier, it has now been confirmed that Todd Waters broke his hip, leg and collarbone whilst training today. Todd posted this statement on Facebook:
“Sorry to inform you guys about the bad news, but today in training I came over a big jump and four guys had crashed. I landed on a bike and broke my leg, collarbone and hip.”
Genre d’hécatombe !!!
:-(((
Coldenhoff serait visiblement out pour le reste de la saison 2014…
A préciser que Nagl, Waters et Kras se sont blessés en même temps au même endroit !!!
Ouaip
"Unfortunately, Glenn Coldenhoff was another MXGP rider that sustained an injury today. Although exact details are being kept under wraps at the moment, we can confirm that he sustained a knee injury. Also, Kay Coldenhoff (his brother) tweeted the following. So, we can be almost certain that he is out for the year.
“@KayColdenhoff: So gutted right now, that was #mxgp 2014 season already. Let’s hope for a huge comeback next year! Love you bro.. #teamhoff“"
"Mel Pocock had to run from the point of the accident to the ambulance only to find no one there. Race still ongoing.
I was told there was no doctor and the first aiders had no clue how to deal with the injury. A ‘trauna’ nurse from the crowd helped out.
Only ‘gas and air’ onsite and that ran out.
Officials more interested in getting the meeting restarted than finding missing the part of his thumb.
Now he is at a second hospital trying to get to see a hand specialist.
****
Update : Going to surgey in about 10 minutes.
Serious thumb and hand damage."
Here’s what was in Steve Dixon’s FB :
Not good news at the moment with Mel. A rider crashed in front of Mel whilst Mel was committed to the corner. It looks like the rear sprocket or handgaurd has lacerated his arm badly and he has lost the top of his right thumb at the knuckle. It’s not pretty and we are all in deep shock at the moment, let’s all wish the surgeons can do a great job, we are in touch with top people but at the moment he needs to be stabilised and we await the doctors news.
Hallucinant de voir à quel point certaines organisations prennent soin de leurs pilotes… Du bétail.
